The Grand Debate - Information Session
The Grand Debate - Information Session Do you have what it takes to debate? Palm Beach State College will be selecting 4 participants for this special event! Americans hear a great deal of talk about crucial policy issues. To enhance and expand that discussion, the Institute for Strategic Policy Solutions (ISPS) presents its own competitive forum for debating these issues: The Grand Debate. This Florida statewide initiative is a multi-college competition that offers students an opportunity to engage in debate about topical issues and compete for cash. Past debates have tackled topics like the minimum wage, kneeling for the National Anthem, immigration, and free college tuition. Previously a competition solely within St. Petersburg College (SPC), ISPS included and hosted other Florida colleges for the first time in 2022. In 2024, ISPS will host the 3rd annual Grand Debate at the SPC Seminole Campus Digitorium. Hotel fare, travel, food, and a dolphin boat tour of Tampa Bay all included!
