A Night of One Acts
The first, A Brush with Shakespeare written by Rae Randall and John Carlile followed by Dutchman written by Amiri Baraka.
\r\n\r\n\r\nA Brush with Shakespeare: A fun and clever way to help explain the story line for some of Shakespeare's plays, with a modern twist. A lot of audiences seem to think they can't understand what is happening while watching a Shakespearean performance. Well, this show should help make understanding a little easier.
\r\n\r\n\r\nDutchman: The play presents an emotionally charged interaction between Clay, a 20-year-old African American man, and Lula, a 30-year-old white woman. The play begins with Lula flirting with Clay, leading into an increasingly aggressive conversation that deals with race, class, and the power dynamics between them.

Taylor Tortoise and Curly Hare’s competitive antics are getting out of control, and all the other animals in their little town outside of Cape Canaveral, Florida, get roped into the shenanigans. When a group of astronauts comes through town, Curly Hare comes up with their kookiest stunt ever – to be the first animals on the moon! Well, talking animals, anyway. Taylor Tortoise and Curly Hare race to build a rocket and beat the other to space, but will their rivalry drive away their friends in the process? Who will make it to the moon first? And once they get to the moon…then what?
