The most popular and sought after big band of all time returns to Palm Beach Gardens for an afternoon of swing music at the Eissey Campus Theatre at Palm Beach State College! On February 1, The World-Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra will perform their greatest hits, including “In The Mood”, “Chattanooga Choo Choo”, “American Patrol”, “A String Of Pearls”, “Little Brown Jug”, “Pennsylvania 6-5000”, Tuxedo Junction”, and of course their theme song “Moonlight Serenade” as they continue their national tour. The 17 member orchestra, their lead singers, and vocal group will perform their catalog of big band classics just the way they would have over 80 years ago when Glenn Miller stood in front of his band. It is a show that continues to transport audiences back in time and is as nostalgic as it is exciting. - Monthly Launch Day at Dyer Park!Monthly Launch Day at Dyer Park! Hey, FES members! Get ready for an exciting day of rocket launches hosted by the Florida Spacemodeling Association (FSA)! Range setup begins at 11:00 AM. Launches will commence after setup. Your help with both setup and teardown is much appreciated! Dyer Park Launch Details: Monthly launches are held on the last Saturday of each month. Flight Specifications: High-power motors up to I impulse are allowed. Flights must NOT exceed 1,200 ft altitude. For all those interested in joining the Florida Engineering Society on campus, this is an excellent opportunity to learn about rocketry, material sciences, design, 3D printing, and aerodynamics. This event is open to the public, so feel free to bring friends and family. We will have a tent with tables and a cooler with sandwiches and drinks. Make sure to bring whatever else you may want/need. It is an all-day event, but it is not mandatory to stay the entire time. Please make sure to join FES before attending this event.
