Celebrate Black History Month with Core Ensemble's "Unbought" Play Online Location Instructions The event will be streamed via Zoom. Unbought is a music theatre piece featuring the dramatic stories of three African American women: journalist and women’s suffrage activist Ida B. Wells; Thomas Jefferson’s slave and concubine Sally Hemings; and Shirley Chisolm, the first African American in the U.S. Congress and the first to run for president. The show's title comes from Shirley Chisholm’s memoir, “Unbought and Unbossed.” The music is from popular folk traditions and works by African American women composers. There will be a live discussion, Q&A, and exclusive viewing of “Unbought” to celebrate Black History Month via Zoom.  From to at Online.
